Using the calendar
How to pick your days on the reservation page: what the colours mean and what each tap does.

The last step on the reservation page is the calendar. It shows the current week through to the end of the reservation window, one row per week, with the weekday and date on every day. All days are UTC days.
What the colours mean

| Red | Reserved: every machine is taken |
| Amber | Your selection |
| Muted | Not bookable: too soon (lead time) or past the window |
Colour isn't the only signal: every day also carries its status for screen readers, and the legend under the calendar repeats it.
Picking a range
Tap your first day, then your last day. The days in between are included. For a single day, tap it twice.
When a range is selected, the summary shows the dates, the number of days and the cost, and Reserve lights up. On a phone, the summary sits in a bar at the bottom of the screen.
What each tap does
With nothing selected
- Tapping a green day makes it your first day.
- Tapping a red day shows "This day is already reserved", and nothing changes.
With a first day selected
- Tapping the same day again selects just that day.
- Tapping an earlier green day makes that your first day instead.
- Tapping a later green day selects the range from your first day to it, as long as:
- no day in between is reserved — otherwise the day you tapped becomes your new first day, with a message;
- the range isn't longer than the plan's maximum — otherwise your first day stays and a message says "The maximum is 5 days" (or the plan's own limit);
- one machine is free for the whole range — otherwise the day you tapped becomes your new first day, with the message "No single machine is free for that whole range". Availability explains why.
With a range selected
- Tapping any other green day starts a new selection from that day. Then tap your new last day.
- On a single-day selection, tapping that day a third time clears the selection.
Before you press Reserve
- Check the dates in UTC. A day starts at 00:00 UTC and ends at 23:59 UTC. The summary shows the exact start and end.
- Check the whole reservation. It can't be cancelled or moved once paid — see No cancellations.
- Refresh if you've been away. The refresh button beside the calendar reloads availability. If a selected day was taken meanwhile, your selection is adjusted and you'll be told.
Your choices are kept
The reservation page remembers what you entered — name, key, script and days — while you're away from it: when you add a new SSH key or startup script, and when you go back from Stripe's payment page without paying. Your draft is kept in this browser for up to 24 hours.
